Patrick Fyson will oversee property underwriting strategy across Asia.

Zurich Insurance Company (Singapore) Ltd has appointed two senior executives to its commercial insurance leadership team in the Asia-Pacific region.

Patrick Fyson has been named head of Property, Asia, whilst Dylan Bryant takes on the newly created role of head of Zurich Multinational & Captives, APAC. Both executives are based in Singapore.

In his new post, Fyson leads Zurich’s property underwriting strategy and operations across Asia, focusing on regional growth and expanding in-country technical capabilities.

He joins the firm from Canopius Group, where he served as head of Property Direct & Facultative for APAC and MENA.

He previously spent nine years at Tokio Marine Kiln in various senior underwriting roles across Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Fyson reports directly to Liam Burrell, CEO of Singapore and head of Commercial Insurance, Asia.

Bryant’s appointment unifies the management of Zurich’s multinational insurance programmes and captive solutions across the APAC region.

His responsibilities cover outward, inward, and international programmes, along with captive fronting operations.

Bryant joins from Commonwealth Bank, where he served as Executive Manager of Group Insurance.

He previously held chief executive and directorial roles at Swiss Re International SE in Hong Kong, alongside positions at Aon and Lloyd’s.

The role marks a return to Zurich, where Bryant spent 12 years between 2002 and 2014 developing the company’s regional multinational division.

Bryant reports to Sean Walker, APAC head of Commercial Insurance and Chief Technical Officer, APAC, as well as Carin Gantenbein, Global head of Multinational Network Management.

Liam Burrell stated that Fyson’s international technical experience would assist in managing complex regional portfolios.

Sean Walker noted that Bryant’s appointment addresses the increasing operational complexity and cross-border risk demands faced by corporate clients across the region.
