Definite integrals represent the exact area under a given curve, and Riemann sums are used to approximate those areas. However, if we take Riemann sums with infinite rectangles of infinitely small width (using limits), we get the exact area, i.e. the definite integral! Created by Sal Khan.

First of all: why is it called a \”delta\”? Because it is in the shape of a triangle, which is the exact shape of the Greek capital letter Delta (\”Δ\”). This triangle is formed by the sediment brought along by the river to the place where it ends: the ocean, a sea, a lake, a desert etc
Deltas are fascinating because they support incredible biodiversity, play an important role in soil fertility and because they change over time (as the sediment increases and causes the delta to spread).
