Oxford High School Students Escape Through Window
The suspect in the senseless Michigan school shooting that killed four has been identified as 15yearold Ethan Crumbley.
Prosecutor Karen McDonald will charge Crumbley as an adult with one count of terrorism, four counts of firstdegree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder, and 12 counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The shooting claimed the lives of Hana St. Juliana, 14, Tate Myre, 16, Madisyn Baldwin, 17, and Justin Schilling, 17, at Oxford High School. Six students and one teacher were also injured. Police say three remain hospitalized, and the other four were released from the hospital.
A 17yearold female suffered injuries to the neck, and a 14yearold female remains in stable condition after wounds to the left chest and neck, according to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. He added that another 17yearold female is in critical condition for gunshot wounds to the chest.
After analyzing video evidence taken by a student, Sheriff Bouchard determined that the person who said, ‘C’mon bro, let’s get out of the classroom, let’s get you outside,’ wasn’t the suspect because he never knocked on the door. He added that it was a plainclothed detective who was speaking in a ‘conversational manner’ to bring the suspect down from the crisis.
According to a CNN count, the attack was the deadliest U.S. school shooting since eight students and two teachers were killed at Texas’ Santa Fe High School in May 2018.
