You don't need to power up the MOBO to updates it's BIOS. One simply puts the MOBO updater drive in the rear USB port marked "BIOS", and hold the button for 3 seconds. Wait a few mins for the LED to stop lighting up, and once the light stays off it's done.

After installing windows the armoury crate software and all that other stuff just downloaded by itself. I didn't need to do anything.
Only watched this video for the BIOS-flashing part tho. Nice tutorial.
For anyone who is scared of fuckin' it up, there is a BIOS-Flashback button on the IO-Shield which is very, very nice.

I did all you did the only problem I have right now is: My windows 10 doesn't boot by default, every time my PC starts BIOS boots first and then I have to manually boot override to windows. Windows is installed in a M.2 SSD Gen3x4. I already checked the boot priority and it says M.2, I havent plug any other SSD nor HDD yet. Any ideas what I can do? thanks again

I don't have this Motherboard yet, I was planning to get it, buy I read that people have issues with the internet connection because of the Intel LAN Chipset.

Could really use some help. Ive downloaded and installed the bios and windows correctly.
Ive gone thru the whole process exactly as you described. I’ve set the same setting as you according to your video, but am still unable to download windows. Keeps going back to bios. Everything seems to be working fine, recognizing all devices. Looks like setting is where I’m getting stuck.

Hello I followed this guide in hopes of getting my ethernet to work and it still is not working. I think I've tried everything you could of before coming here. Gah wth am i doong wrong for the life of mw i cant update same mobo. I have ryzen7 5800x , 2 8 gb ram dominator and im thinking some of the games I have keep crashing either due to power supply or mobo needing to be updated. I formated than drive fat 32 only have one thing on drive and i still cant get it to work right.

I flashed my Bios on my B550 Asus strix motherboard and it said it was successful but it keeps booting automatically to the BIOS when and I have no idea how to get back into windows. 🙁

i have a question about bios flashing…let say i have ver 1.0 of the bios..And on the asus homepage there is bios ver 2.0,3.0,4.0 and 5.0..Do i need to update them in order or can i just jump to ver 5.0???
