This is a flaw with iphone. I should not have to hit and try with these setting. I am not sure why Apple does not have an easier way to move photos.

Apple SUX this is ridiculous.
So I tried everything and you he seemed to stick out to my computer and it’s literally the switches of USB ports. My computer is 3 years old and the ports are all the same so switching it had a big impact on top of going to iPhone settings and changing to keep all photos. Smh going to have to switch to an android after this boohockey

I had this keep happening, tried the following and it worked: iCloud Photos off, Shared Albums on, Hidden Album on, Auto-Play on, Show Holiday Events on, and switched it to Keep Originals as it was on Automatic.
Seems like just fiddling with and turning on/off settings in Photos seems to work, and unplugging/plugging back in before trying again.
Another option is to send pics to yourself via FB messenger and then save them onto your computer that way, which takes longer, but doesn't cut quality like uploading to a FB photo album.

Hi, Its working fine but "Keep originals" showing low file size. It reducing the quality it seems. Will be there any alternative manner
Is there a way to fix it with keeping it in automatic? If you put it on "keep originals" files are transfered in "heic" format and you have to re-format all of them to JPG. So annoying. Why is this so f*cking complicated? Why can it still transfer most files in automatic? What's the problem with just continuing to do the same thing its been doing for the thousands of other pics and videos I've already transferred while in the "automatic" setting!?!?! I'm so sick of this shit!!! What's so hard about connecting the iphone to the computer and just having it be a simple file folder with simple jpg files that can easily be transferred just like any other old digital camera or USB stick?! Why is Apple making this a fucking non-user-friendly experience!!!???
