Wararam Cave Historical place is a limestone cave below the impressive cliff in the western part of the Surat Thani province of Thailand region of exceptional geological rock formations. According an information board, the fourcompartment cave was inhabited since the Neolithic Age.
Archaeological findings include polished tools from quartzite, spherical bracelets made of shells, animal bones and teeth and many others.
In recent centuries up to today, the caves are home to a natural Buddhist temple. This peaceful place has a great atmosphere.

Surat Thani is a city in southern Thailand, 651 km south of Bangkok. It is the capital of Surat Thani Province. The city has a population of about 130,000 (2009).
Surat Thani is near the mouth of the Tapi River on the Gulf of Thailand. The city is not really touristy, and is mainly known to tourists as the jumpingoff point to Ko Samui, Ko Tao, and Ko Pha Ngan as it is one of the closest airports to this destinations.
