First-half turnover reached $90.6m and accounted for 55.4% of the annual plan.
Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE) recorded profit before tax of $10.7m (VND278.8b), climbing 14.9% year-on-year (YoY) in the first half of 2026 (H1 2026).
The company said this already makes up nearly half (49.8%) of the company’s 2026 business plan.
It also recorded revenue of $90.6m (VND2,364b) in H1 2026, up 10.4% YoY, representing 55.4% of its annual target, the company said at its mid-year conference held on 3 August.
The conference, chaired by chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan, reviewed the company’s business performance for the first half of the year and discussed priorities for the remainder of 2026.
It was attended by Vu Ngoc Vuong, head of the board of control, Mai Xuan Dzung, chief executive officer, along with members of the board of directors, board of control, board of management and staff.
According to the Insurance Association of Vietnam, the non-life insurance market grew 16.1% in the first half of 2026, compared with growth of 11.3% in 2025 and 11.9% in 2024.
Property and engineering insurance continued to perform strongly, with engineering insurance the fastest-growing segment at 75.3%.
Compulsory insurance for construction projects rose 185.4%, which the association linked to the recovery in public investment, construction and manufacturing activity, along with recent amendments to legal regulations covering property and engineering insurance.
