This comes as 78% of adults in the city-state worry about outliving their savings.
Manulife Singapore has launched Manulife Indexed Wealth (MIW) and Manulife Indexed Income (MII), two Singapore-dollar-denominated Indexed Universal Life solutions targeting the country’s growing mass-affluent segment.
The company said the wealth plans are in response to rising concern amongst Singaporean consumers about long-term financial security.
Manulife’s Asia Care Survey 2026 revealed 78% of adults in Singapore worry about outliving their savings, whilst 70% are concerned about affording future care needs.
MIW is designed for long-term wealth accumulation and offers a choice between two index sub-accounts—the S&P 500 10% Buffer Index Sub-account, an SGD-denominated index cushioning up to 10% of market losses.
Meanwhile, the S&P PRISM Index Sub-account (USD) is a volatility-controlled multi-asset index with a 0% floor crediting rate accessible only through an SGD policy.
From policy year 2, holders can switch between Fixed and Index Accounts or between index sub-accounts, with the Fixed Account carrying a minimum guaranteed rate of 0.50% p.a.
MIW charges zero upfront fees, stops administration fees after policy year 10, and drops surrender charges from policy year 15.
Moreover, MII is built for retirement income and wealth transfer, allowing monthly income payouts starting from policy year 2, linked to the S&P PRISM Index Sub-account (USD) whilst the policy remains SGD-denominated.
Its floor crediting rate is guaranteed at 0%, protecting against negative crediting during market downturns, and payouts can be started or stopped at the policyholder’s discretion.Â
